HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police arrested three youths for performing dangerous car stunts at the traffic junction near Jubilee Hills Checkpost, creating panic among motorists.
According to details, three individuals recklessly performed stunts in the middle of the road, alarming other commuters. Bystanders recorded the act on their mobile phones and reported it to the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner via Twitter. Taking swift action, Commissioner CV Anand instructed the Jubilee Hills police to investigate the matter.
Following the directive, police registered a suo-motu case on Saturday and identified the vehicle involved, an AP-registered car (AP 09 AQ 7209). The case was filed under sections BNS 292, 281, 125, 126(2), 49 read with 54, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Investigations revealed that the car was driven by Mohammad Abdul Khader (23), a student from Malakpet. Along with him, Md. Anas Ahmaduddin (22) and Mohammad Abdul Rahat (20) were also present in the vehicle. The police arrested all three individuals and remanded them in custody.
Jubilee Hills Inspector Venkateshwar Reddy warned that strict action would be taken against those engaging in reckless driving or performing dangerous stunts on public roads.
