Hyderabad: A tragic accident early Tuesday morning near Kuntluru claimed the lives of three young students and left another fighting for his life.
The crash happened around 5:45 AM near Narayana College, on the outskirts of the city within Hayathnagar limits. A Skoda car and a DCM van collided head-on, killing three of the car’s occupants on the spot. A fourth passenger was badly injured and rushed to Sunrise Hospital in Hayathnagar.
Police identified the deceased as Pinninti Chandrasena Reddy (24), Chunchu Trinadh Reddy (24), and Chunchu Varshit Reddy (23). The survivor, Alimeti Pawan Kalyan (24), remains in critical condition. All four were from Kuntluru and were students.
According to investigators, the Skoda—registered in Maharashtra—was heading from Pasumamula toward Kuntluru when it crashed into a DCM van coming from the opposite direction. Police suspect speeding played a major role in the collision.
Officers from Hayathnagar police station arrived quickly at the scene, shifted the bodies to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem, and began further investigation.
