Hyderabad: Telugu cricketer Tilak Varma, who shone in India’s Asia Cup 2025 victory against Pakistan, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday. Sports Minister Vakiti Sreeramulu Hari accompanied him.
The Chief Minister congratulated Tilak for his performance in the final and honoured him at the meeting. Varma also gifted a cricket bat to Revanth Reddy as a mark of respect.
Tilak Varma’s Asia Cup knock earns Telangana pride
Varma scored 69 not out in the Asia Cup 2025 final. His innings helped India chase Pakistan’s 146 with two balls to spare. Telangana leaders hailed his knock as a proud moment for the state.
SATS Chairman Shivasena Reddy and SATS MD Sonibala Devi attended the event. Chief Secretary Srinivasa Raju and Khairatabad DCC president Rohin Reddy also joined.
