Hyderabad: Team India all-rounder Tilak Varma received a rousing welcome in Hyderabad after guiding India to victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai.
India bowled Pakistan out for 146 runs. The chase went down to the final over, but India won with two balls left. Varma anchored the innings with a match-winning 69 not out, sealing the title.

Varma landed at Shamshabad Airport on Monday evening. Telangana Sports Authority chairman Shivsena Reddy received him on behalf of the state government and felicitated him.
Hundreds of fans thronged the airport to catch a glimpse of the cricketer. Police tightened security as crowds swelled. Varma waved to supporters before heading home.
