Toddler dies after toy pin lodges in throat in Siddipet

Hyderabad: A 14-month-old girl died in Siddipet district after a toy pin got stuck in her throat, leading to a fatal medical emergency.

The incident took place in Wargal mandal, where Shoaib Khan, a JCB driver originally from Haryana, lives with his family. On Monday morning, Khan left for work while his wife, Nadia, stayed home handling household chores. Their daughter, Anabia, was playing with a toy.

At some point, a pin from the toy entered her mouth and became lodged in her throat. Nadia, unaware initially, discovered her daughter in distress and rushed her to a nearby hospital with the help of locals. Doctors there advised immediate transfer to Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad.

Despite efforts at Niloufer, Anabia could not be saved.
