Hyderabad: Around 6 or 7 AM, the rain just let loose—nonstop for nearly an hour. Thunder was booming, lightning all over the Mahbubnagar. It came down so fast that streets flooded in no time.
Low-lying areas got hit the worst. Water started getting into houses, and some folks had to scramble to move things up off the floor. Near the Government Hospital in New Town, it was a mess—people trying to get to appointments were stuck in knee-deep water.
A bunch of colonies stayed waterlogged well into the afternoon. Roads were barely passable, and most people just stayed put unless they really had to go out.
Now the revenue folks are telling everyone to be careful—more rain might be on the way to Mahbubnagar.
