Hyderabad: TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud condemned Teenmar Mallanna’s remarks on MLC K. Kavitha as objectionable and urged that such comments targeting women should be unequivocally denounced.
Goud said that respecting women is a core value in Indian tradition, and Mallanna’s comments were unacceptable. However, he also criticised the attack on Mallanna’s office by Jagruti activists as unlawful and counterproductive.
“All actions must remain within the legal framework,” he said, while calling for restraint on all sides.
On the incident involving gunfire and the reported attack on Q News office, Goud said police are investigating based on formal complaints, and action will follow under due process.
He reiterated that Congress was responsible for the implementation of the BC quota and warned against attempts to divert its benefits. “It is not acceptable for others to seek advantage from what was achieved through Congress efforts,” he said.
