Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said Hindi continues to serve as a crucial bridge uniting India’s diverse linguistic communities across regions. He was addressing a Hindi Diwas event held at the Basheerbagh Press Club on Sunday.
The programme, organised by the Telangana Pradesh Linguistic Minority Cell and the Telangana Hindi Journalists’ Association, featured Goud as the chief guest. In his speech, he described India as a nation enriched by multiple languages, cultures, and traditions.
Goud emphasised that Hindi plays a key role in connecting people across North, South, East, and West. While English has gained global prominence, he said, Hindi has retained its national relevance by linking dialects and communities.
He referred to the adage “Desha Bhashalandu Telugu Lessa” to affirm Telugu’s literary excellence, adding that promoting Hindi alongside Telugu would strengthen national unity.
The TPCC leader also praised Telangana’s record on secularism, development, and welfare. He noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is prioritising sectors like education and healthcare.
Several leaders, including Government Advisor Harkar Venugopal Rao, AICC secretary Viswanathan, Planning Commission chairman Dr. Chinna Reddy, former MP Hanumantha Rao, and others, attended the event.
