Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Friday cautioned party leaders against speaking publicly on internal party matters, following a controversy involving Congress leader Konda Murali.
Murali had made remarks targeting party functionaries from Warangal district, prompting complaints from both sides. Goud said party observers had been assigned to submit a detailed report on the issue, and disciplinary action would be taken after review.
Addressing reporters, the TPCC chief said members must avoid making unauthorised statements and respect organisational protocol.
On the pending Jubilee Hills by-election, Goud clarified that the party’s high command would take the final call on candidate selection. He added there was no objection to former MP Azharuddin expressing interest in contesting, as he had done so in the past.
