Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday condemned BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao’s comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, calling them derogatory and unparliamentary. Party spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud said the remarks reflect political desperation and moral failure.
Goud accused KTR and his family of betraying Telangana’s aspirations during their tenure, alleging they diverted state resources for personal and familial benefit. “They promised much and delivered nothing. The people’s sacrifices, especially those of Telangana martyrs, were disregarded,” he said.
He also criticised KTR’s recent claims about BRS regaining power, describing them as misleading and baseless. Goud condemned the BRS leader’s statements targeting police officials, saying KTR had misused law enforcement while in office and was now issuing threats after losing power.
Calling for accountability, Goud demanded that KTR apologise publicly to Revanth Reddy for his remarks. He warned that the people of Telangana would deliver a strong response in the upcoming local body elections.
