Hyderabad: TPCC general secretary Gajjala Kantham on Sunday criticised BRS working president K Tarakarama Rao, accusing him of making irrational remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy out of frustration.
Kantham demanded that if K Chandrashekar Rao had genuine concern for Telangana people’s problems, he should speak on the floor of the Assembly rather than issuing challenges through his son.
He mocked KTR’s street-level debate proposal, asking whether he was an MLA or a sarpanch to drag public issues onto the roads.
Kantham further remarked that KCR’s first political mentor was N T Rama Rao and the second was Chandrababu Naidu, arguing that Telangana was not built by KCR alone, but through the sacrifices of martyrs and the contribution of other movement leaders.
He asserted that Revanth Reddy had become chief minister through personal hard work and determination.
Accepting KTR’s challenge, Kantham named MLC Addanki Dayakar and MLA Mynampally Rohith Rao as Congress representatives ready to participate in any debate. He invited KTR to attend and said Congress would handle the arrangements, reiterating readiness to discuss any issue in an open forum.
