Hyderabad, February 1: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has announced a statewide protest against the alleged discrimination towards Telangana in the recently presented Union Budget. TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud called for demonstrations across the state under the party’s leadership.
As part of the agitation, a major protest will be held at 4 PM on Sunday at the Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund, Hyderabad. Goud urged party leaders and supporters to participate in large numbers.
The protests will continue on February 3, with demonstrations planned at Ambedkar statues across Telangana. TPCC has asked party MLAs, MLCs, former candidates, District Congress Committees (DCCs), Youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress, and affiliated organizations to actively participate.
The party has also announced plans to burn effigies of the Prime Minister, Union Finance Minister, and Telangana’s central ministers as part of their demonstration.
