Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police will impose sweeping traffic diversions and movement restrictions from July 20 to 22 across key areas of the city in view of Bonalu festivities.
Around Mahankali Temple in Amberpet, restrictions will be in effect from 6 a.m. on July 20 until 6 a.m. on July 22. Vehicles from Uppal to Chaderghat or MGBS must take the Amberpet flyover. Devotees can access GHMC ground parking via the underpass.
In case of congestion, vehicles from Uppal and Ali Café will be rerouted through D.D. Colony and Shivam Road.
Traffic near Katta Maisamma – Pochamma Temple in Chilkalguda will be restricted from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both days. Vehicles from Seethaphalmandi and Allugadabavi will be diverted to Warasiguda, Namalagundu, Padmarao Nagar, and adjacent areas.
On July 21, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., routes leading to Lal Darwaza, Aliyabad, Nagulchinta, Gowlipura, and Charminar will be closed for the Simha Vaahini Sri Mahankali Bonalu procession.
Traffic from Engine Bowli, Falaknuma, MBNR X Roads, and Kandikal Gate will be redirected via Tadban, Misrigunj, Khilwat, and Ramaswamy Gunj.
Complete shutdown of vehicular movement will be in force between Madina X Roads and Engine Bowli through Gulzar Houz, Charminar, and Himmatpura until procession clearance.
Heavy vehicles will be barred from sensitive zones including Chatrinaka, Nayapul, and Charminar.
Parking for devotees will be available at Alka Theatre, Arya Vyshya Mandir, VDP School Ground, and Charminar Bus Terminal based on access points.
TSRTC buses will halt at Afzalgunj, Darulshifa X Roads, and Engine Bowli, with no entry permitted toward Charminar, Falaknuma, or Nayapul.
