Hyderabad: A traffic inspector with Hyderabad Police suffered injuries when an auto-rickshaw driver and his aide attacked him in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
The incident took place when Inspector R Raghunath of Mahankali Traffic Police Station asked the driver to move his vehicle. The auto had blocked traffic. The driver argued and, along with another man, assaulted the inspector and other staff on duty.

Raghunath later filed a complaint. Police quickly detained the driver and his associate for questioning. Officials confirmed that the inspector sustained injuries. Therefore, police began a formal investigation.
