HYDERABAD: Krishna Bhaskar, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Telangana Transco, has been selected for the prestigious World Bank Fellowship, focusing on statistics and analytics. This fellowship, initiated last year, received over 2,600 applications globally, with only 33 government officials selected worldwide. Notably, Krishna Bhaskar is the sole representative from India.
As part of the fellowship, Krishna Bhaskar has been invited to Washington D.C. for a nine-day direct training session from March 18 to 27. The six-month course includes specialized training, followed by digital modules to complete the program. The World Bank will cover all expenses related to this fellowship.
The Government of Telangana has issued necessary permissions for Krishna Bhaskar’s participation in the program. The fellowship aims to identify and encourage government officials globally in the field of statistics and analytics.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated Krishna Bhaskar on his selection, expressing pride that the sole representative from India hails from Telangana. He extended his best wishes during a meeting at the Assembly premises on Thursday.
