Hyderabad: The Telangana State Minorities Employees Service Association (TS-MESA) has called on the government to act urgently on unresolved issues affecting Muslim government employees, teachers, and pensioners. The resolution was passed at a meeting held August 3 in Hyderabad.
TS-MESA founder and president Mohammed Abdul Farooq Ahmed chaired the session. State honorary president Khwaja Moinuddin, additional general secretaries Dr. M.A. Naeem and Syed Naeemuddin, and Hyderabad district leaders Chand Pasha and Sharif Khan addressed the gathering.
The association urged the state to immediately implement the pending Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report. It also demanded the restoration of the old pension scheme and the inclusion of the BC-E category in departmental promotions and outsourcing recruitment.
Additional proposals included the launch of a CGHS-style health scheme for all state staff. TS-MESA also called for a five-day work week and child care leave for women employees on par with central government policy.
Leaders emphasised that these are not just routine requests, but long-overdue corrections vital for staff welfare. Addressing these would reflect the government’s commitment to equity and service recognition.
The group asked the state to treat these issues as a priority. TS-MESA vowed to continue its advocacy until the government responds constructively.
Mohammad Ejazuddin Ahmed conducted the proceedings. General secretary Mohammad Taufiqur Rahman reaffirmed that the association will keep fighting for Muslim public employees until fair outcomes are achieved.
