Hyderabad: In a spirited celebration of academic achievement, the TS MESA Urdu Officers Unit on Saturday organised a felicitation ceremony to honour students who excelled in the SSC and Intermediate examinations. Held at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Oriental Research Institute within the historic Shahi Masjid premises at Public Gardens, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across government schools and colleges in Hyderabad.
Fifty meritorious students were selected for recognition and received certificates of appreciation, commemorative mementoes, and books. The awards were presented by members of the TS MESA Urdu Officers Unit in the presence of educators, parents, and civil society members.
Retired Lecturer Muhammad Zaheeruddin addressed the gathering in a lively and motivating style, urging students to remain focused and diligent. He reminded them that consistent effort during their formative years would lay the foundation for future success. “This is the age to invest in your learning with full sincerity,” he said.
The event was anchored by Urdu Officer Muhammad Younus, while organising duties were handled by Muhammad Ajaz, who also introduced the audience to the aims and ongoing community outreach efforts of the TS MESA Urdu Officers Unit. “Though we are a body of government employees, we want our support to reach all sections of society,” he said, highlighting the Unit’s broader vision.
Financial expert Syed Naeemuddin, formerly with TGMREIS, explained the importance of equal educational opportunities. He added that parents ought to make sure girls are given the same encouragement and tools as boys. “Each student must have a definite goal and work towards it with persistence and dedication,” he maintained.
Government teacher Muhammad Irfan, who played a central role in coordinating the event and identifying student achievers, was applauded for his efforts. Several of his students were among those felicitated, further highlighting his contribution to grassroots education.
Well-known educator Tajuddin addressed the students with a message blending inspiration and reflection. “Pursue education with love, not just obligation,” he said. “Academic excellence should go hand in hand with good character and moral strength.”
Each student honoured received two educational books in addition to their certificate and memento. Organisers expressed joy over the unexpectedly high turnout and lively involvement from both students and their families. They thanked the parents for supporting their children’s ambitions and urged continued dedication to education.
Several students, while sharing their thoughts, spoke of their renewed motivation and the sense of encouragement they felt. Many expressed aspirations of entering fields like medicine, engineering, and other professional careers, affirming their intent to pursue higher education with determination.
