Hyderabad: Candidates who cleared document verification for TSPSC Group-1 appointments have urged the Telangana State Public Service Commission to expedite the recruitment process and announce the final list. At a press meet in Somajiguda on Sunday, they expressed concern that delays in Group-1 appointments would adversely affect Group-2 and Group-3 recruitments.
They warned that delays stemming from technical or legal issues could compromise opportunities for common merit candidates across these exams, particularly in filling backlog vacancies. “We come from poor and middle-class families. We left our homes three years ago to prepare for this. Our families have already celebrated thinking we got the jobs,” one candidate said.
Several aspirants, including Nishanth, Ranjith, Abhinay, and Gopi, said they had quit private jobs and were waiting for appointments. They called the current uncertainty deeply discouraging, particularly since this is the first Group-1 recruitment exercise since Telangana’s formation.
They argued that continued delay would not only hamper administration but also demotivate future aspirants preparing for upcoming notifications. They urged the TSPSC to prioritise clarity and fairness in the recruitment process.
