Hyderabad: A major mishap was narrowly avoided on Wednesday morning when a TSRTC bus from the Yadagirigutta depot veered off the road and crashed into agricultural fields near Bhongir.
The incident occurred between Shivareddygudem and Indriyala villages in Bhoodan Pochampally mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. According to locals, the bus, operating on the Bhongir–Shivareddygudem route, swerved off course while attempting to avoid a head-on collision with another TSRTC bus approaching from the opposite direction.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and both the driver and passengers escaped unharmed.
Residents said the stretch between the two villages has become treacherous due to deep potholes and poor maintenance. Despite repeated complaints to local authorities and elected representatives, they allege that no corrective action has been taken.
They urged the state government to immediately intervene and widen the road to prevent future accidents.
