Hyderabad: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) conductor won praise on Sunday after his quick action saved a man who collapsed during an epileptic seizure at the Secunderabad bus station.
The incident occurred near Bus Point No. 229, where a man suddenly fell to the ground during a seizure. Chakri, a conductor from the Medchal depot who was on duty, rushed to the spot. Without hesitation, he removed the ignition key from his bus and placed it in the patient’s hand a common traditional response believed to calm seizures. The intervention helped stabilize the man before further help arrived.
TSRTC shared details of the incident and a video on platform X (formerly Twitter), praising the conductor for his presence of mind and compassion. In the clip, Chakri expressed regret that many people stood by without helping, and said he acted instinctively to save the man.
Public response to the video was overwhelmingly positive. Citizens lauded Chakri’s humane gesture, and TSRTC officials also congratulated him for his timely and selfless action.
