Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has issued a warning to government employees who fail to attend duty on time. He said strict disciplinary measures will be taken against habitual latecomers.
On Wednesday, the Minister conducted surprise visits to offices under the Agriculture and Handlooms departments. He inspected the headquarters of the Seed Certification Corporation, Seed Development Corporation, Handlooms, and Textiles.
During these visits, he expressed strong displeasure over the absence of some staff during working hours. He pointed out that outsourcing employees were punctual, while regular staff, including some General Managers and Managers, were neglecting their responsibilities.
Disciplinary action for poor punctuality
Tummala instructed departmental commissioners and managing directors to act immediately against those failing to follow attendance norms. He emphasized that time discipline must apply to all, from senior officers to junior staff.
“No officer is exempt. Everyone must report on time and work with accountability,” he said.
The Minister added that effective public service depends on employee discipline and punctuality. He warned that the government will not tolerate carelessness or delay in official duties.
