Hyderabad: Police in Chaderghat and Dabeerpura registered POCSO cases against two men for sharing child porn videos online. The accused were identified as Mohammad Hussain (34) from Chanchalguda and Syed Jameel (32) from Azampura. Officers traced them through the Cyber Crime portal and arrested them.
Malakpet ACP Subbirami Reddy said both men shared obscene material involving minors on social media platforms. He warned that sharing or even viewing such content is a criminal offence under the law. The ACP said police are taking firm steps to curb crimes against children across Hyderabad.
ACP issues warning after Hyderabad child porn case arrests
The ACP added that agencies like the Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) monitoring cell and the NCRB regularly share alerts with local police about such offences. Based on those alerts, officers identify and arrest the culprits immediately. Legal proceedings have begun against both accused, and police plan to open history sheets on them.
In a separate case, SR Nagar police booked another man for circulating child sexual abuse videos. Authorities said strict action will continue against those involved in similar crimes.
