Two sisters found dead under suspicious circumstances in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Two sisters were found dead at their residence in Hyderabad’s Balapur area on Saturday, triggering local concern. Police said the deaths appeared to be by suicide but have not ruled out foul play.

The deceased were identified as Vineela and Akhila. Both were found hanging inside their home. No other family members were present at the time, police said.

Initial information suggests Vineela had previously left home to marry someone from a different caste, reportedly against her family’s wishes. She was later brought back. Neighbours said both sisters had been withdrawn since then.

Police registered a case of suspicious death and have begun investigation to determine whether it was a suicide or if someone staged the scene to mislead.
