HYDERABAD, February 3: Municipal authorities in Shamshabad Municipality carried out demolition drives in Sampath Nagar and Ootpally, removing illegal constructions built on encroached government land.
A Hydra machine was deployed to demolish structures erected on government property in Sampath Nagar. In Ootpally, officials removed a gate that was obstructing a public road, ensuring smooth passage for residents.
Municipal authorities reiterated that strict action would be taken against encroachments on government lands, nalas (drains), lakes, and park spaces. Officials warned that similar demolition drives would continue against unauthorised constructions.
Further inspections are expected as part of the municipality’s efforts to curb illegal land occupation.
