Hyderabad: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday unveiled the poster for the Huzurnagar Mega Job Mela, scheduled for October 25, and reviewed the arrangements with officials of the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana (DEET).
The event aims to attract over 10,000 job seekers, with more than 150 companies offering positions in IT, manufacturing, services, pharma, banking, and trading sectors. It will be held at the Government Degree College grounds in Huzurnagar.
Huzurnagar Job Mela to feature 150 employers across key sectors
Organised in collaboration with the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), the fair will also be attended by IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, local MLAs, and other public representatives.
During the review, officials briefed the minister on the facilities being prepared for participants. They said employer help desks, printing and xerox counters, and sector-wise recruitment stalls would be set up at the venue.
Reddy directed DEET to ensure stable internet, volunteer coordination, and logistical support throughout the event. He also asked them to provide dedicated workspaces for employers and rent additional infrastructure if needed.
Furthermore, mobilisation efforts will extend across the Nalgonda region through local colleges and training institutes. Placement officers and principals from over 150 institutions have joined the outreach drive via WhatsApp groups to register final-year students and unemployed youth. A preparatory meeting will be held soon to ensure maximum participation.
Meanwhile, DEET has already registered over 1 lakh job seekers on its digital platform. The portal provides mobile alerts and interview follow-ups to candidates. Although the Huzurnagar event will focus on in-person hiring, DEET will simultaneously handle digital registration and outreach activities.
