HYDERABAD: Vanguard, one of the world’s most respected investment management companies, announced its decision to establish its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in India at Hyderabad, following productive discussions with Chief Minister of Telangana A Revanth Reddy.
Vanguard, which manages approximately $10 trillion in global assets and serves more than 50 million investors worldwide, will formally launch its Hyderabad office later this year. The company plans to employ 2,300 professionals over the next four years.
A senior delegation from Vanguard, led by CEO Salim Ramji, CIO and Managing Director of the IT division Nitin Tandon, Chief Human Resources Officer John Couture, and Venkatesh Natarajan, Principal and Head of GCC—Vanguard India, met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and senior officials including Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari.
During the meeting, Vanguard stated that it would immediately begin recruiting engineers for its Hyderabad center, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence, Data & Analytics, and Mobile Engineering.
“We’re excited to be adding talent who will focus on AI, mobile, and cloud-based technologies that drive our business outcomes and deliver a world-class experience for our clients. Hyderabad was a great obvious choice for us because of its diverse talent pool, quality of living, an ecosystem of tech expertise and innovation mindset and the friendly policies of the Telangana state government,” said Vanguard CEO Salim Ramji.
Welcoming Vanguard, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “I am delighted to welcome Vanguard to join the irresistible and unstoppable HyderabadRising vision. As part of TelanganaRising, we are shaping Hyderabad into a GCC hub for the world across domains and Vanguard’s endorsement will further strengthen our global positioning.”
This move marks a significant milestone in Vanguard’s global expansion strategy. After a decade of working with third-party partners, Vanguard’s new Hyderabad office will allow direct access to top talent and strengthen its global technology workforce.
The company reiterated its commitment to building a long-term technology center in Hyderabad. The office is expected to become a core part of Vanguard’s global structure, support the company’s IT goals, drive its AI strategies, and contribute to mobile-first and data-led innovation.
Vanguard is currently finalizing its hiring strategy to ensure the right talent is onboarded with a strong emphasis on AI, Data & Analytics, and Mobile Engineering.
“As with all of our locations, we will foster an inclusive environment centered around clear mission, meaningful work, and unique employee experience,” Ramji added.
