Hyderabad: Telangana State RTC Managing Director and senior IPS officer VC Sajjanar expressed strong disapproval over a viral stunt video showing a youth lying on a railway track as a train passed overhead, calling it a dangerous symptom of social media obsession.
Sharing the clip on his social media handle, Sajjanar condemned the act as the “height of madness” and criticised the growing trend of young people risking their lives to gain instant fame through online reels.
He noted that such behaviour reflects complete disregard for personal safety and no thought for the emotional trauma it could inflict on their families. “They don’t even stop to think about the kind of content they’re making only about how fast they can go viral,” he wrote.
Calling for urgent counselling for youth caught in the grip of social media addiction, Sajjanar warned that failure to intervene could lead to more reckless acts. “These mentally unstable individuals need guidance before they try even more dangerous stunts,” he said.
Sajjanar is known for using his online platforms to routinely alert the public about digital scams, betting apps, and harmful trends.
ప్రమాదం జరిగితే తల్లితండ్రులు ఎంతటి… pic.twitter.com/MUOyxuQCiN
