Hyderabad: Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu said India’s true strength lies in its youth. He urged students to follow the ‘4D’ formula to direct their energy toward meaningful goals. He spoke at Talentotsav, an event organised by Johnsons Publications at the Dr Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Centre in Jubilee Hills on Sunday.
Venkaiah Naidu stresses 4D formula for youth
Naidu explained that the 4D principles — Dedication, Distance from digital addiction, Discipline, and Diverse talent — help youth stay focused and balanced. He said students must apply these principles in daily life to succeed.
Moreover, he stated that education without values or culture was useless. “Knowledge should uplift society, not weaken it,” he said. According to him, both education and art are equally important for the growth of young minds.
Calls for discipline and a healthy lifestyle
Naidu advised students to wake up before sunrise and eat early dinners after sunset. He asked them to eat home-cooked food made from fresh millets and vegetables. Such discipline, he said, would improve both health and focus.
He also stressed the need to stay away from digital distractions. “Technology is useful,” he said, “but it should never control your life.”
Youth are the nation’s greatest wealth
Naidu reminded students that India’s future depends on their values and commitment. Therefore, every young person must build strength, discipline, and integrity. With these qualities, he said, the youth can transform India into a value-based and prosperous nation.
