Veteran photojournalist Shaik Naseeruddin dies after brief illness

Hyderabad: Senior photojournalist Shaik Naseeruddin died Today morning following a short illness.

Associated with the Munsif Urdu daily for over four decades, Naseeruddin was a respected figure in Hyderabad’s media circles, known for chronicling key political and civic developments through his lens. His body of work, spanning numerous high-profile events and public moments, earned him recognition across the press fraternity.

He is survived by his wife and two children.

Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation president M.A. Majid and several other members of the press condoled his death, calling it a loss to the Urdu media. Political leaders also expressed grief over his passing.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC K. Kavitha shared her condolences on X, writing: “Deeply saddened by the passing of senior photojournalist Naseer of Munsif daily. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and pray for his soul to rest in peace.”
