HYDERABAD: A tragic road accident in Telangana’s Vikarabad district claimed the life of a woman and left 11 others injured after a speeding vehicle overturned following a collision near Malkapur Gate in the Pargi municipality limits.
The incident occurred when the driver of a fast-moving Toyota Tavera lost control while trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle. Despite the attempt, the vehicle struck the bike and then overturned multiple times before landing on the roadside.
A woman and her son, who were riding the scooter, sustained severe injuries. Ten passengers travelling in the Tavera were also injured in the crash.
All injured individuals were rushed to the Pargi Government Hospital by 108 ambulance services. The woman, who was critically injured, later succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the Vikarabad hospital.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
