Warangal Doctor Attack: Wife and her lover arrested in murder conspiracy
Warangal police have arrested Dr. Gade Sumanth Reddy’s wife, Plora Maria, and her lover, Samuel, for allegedly orchestrating an attack on him. The case reveals a shocking plot of betrayal and premeditated violence.
HYDERABAD: In a shocking case that has unsettled Warangal, Dr. Gade Sumanth Reddy, a young physician, was brutally attacked in an alleged murder attempt masterminded by his wife, Plora Maria, with the assistance of her lover, Samuel. The incident, which took place on February 20, 2025, has exposed a troubling story of marital betrayal and calculated violence.
On the night of February 20, Dr. Sumanth Reddy was traveling by car between Ursugutta and Bhattupalli when he was ambushed by unidentified attackers armed with iron rods. The assailants inflicted severe injuries, leaving him critically wounded. Passersby discovered Dr. Reddy in a pool of blood and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Investigation Reveals Premeditated Conspiracy
Initial police investigations have confirmed that the attack was not a random act of violence but a planned assassination attempt. Authorities have identified Plora Maria as the primary conspirator. Allegedly, Maria, who was engaged in an extramarital affair with Samuel, a gym trainer, conspired to eliminate her husband to continue her relationship without hindrance.
Dr. Reddy, after completing his medical education, began his practice in Sangareddy district, where he met and married Maria. During this period, Maria regularly visited a local gym, where she became acquainted with Samuel. Their relationship reportedly turned into a romantic affair.
When Dr. Reddy discovered the infidelity, he confronted his wife and urged her to end the affair. In an attempt to salvage their marriage, he relocated to Kazipet three years ago, establishing a clinic and securing a teaching position for Maria at a residential school.
Murder Plot Unfolds
Despite Dr. Reddy’s efforts, Maria continued her relationship with Samuel, who frequently traveled from Sangareddy to meet her. Viewing her husband as an obstacle, Maria, along with Samuel, allegedly plotted to murder him. They enlisted the help of Samuel’s friend, an Armed Reserve (AR) police constable, to execute the plan.
On the night of the attack, the trio ambushed Dr. Reddy and attempted to stage the assault as a road accident. Believing him dead, they fled the scene. However, Dr. Reddy survived, and subsequent police investigations led to the arrest of Maria, Samuel, and the constable involved.
The Warangal police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details of the conspiracy. The accused have been taken into custody, and legal action is being pursued. The case underscores the grave consequences of extramarital affairs and the extreme measures taken to remove perceived obstacles.
