Warangal railway station on high alert after Delhi blasts

Hyderabad: Following the recent bomb blasts in Delhi, security was stepped up at Warangal railway station as a precautionary measure. Police teams carried out extensive inspections to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure the safety of passengers.

The GRP and RPF personnel jointly conducted checks across the station premises under the supervision of CI Surender. Teams inspected every corner of the station and verified the luggage of passengers. Officers also detained a few individuals who appeared suspicious and released them after questioning.

Officials used metal detectors and scanning equipment to check passenger bags and parcels thoroughly. Security remained tight, especially during train arrivals and departures, to maintain constant vigilance.

CI Surender issues key instructions to passengers

Speaking to the media, CI Surender urged passengers to remain alert and report any suspicious persons or objects immediately. He advised them to contact Dial 100, the nearest GRP or RPF personnel, or available railway staff if they noticed anything unusual.

He added that railway travel could remain safe only with public cooperation. The inspections created a brief sense of alertness at the station, but normal activity resumed soon after.
