Mulugu Electric Shock

Hyderabad: A woman farmer and four cattle died of electrocution in Cherukuru Mothkulagudem village of Wazeedu mandal, Mulugu district, after a tree branch fell on live electric wires during farm work.

The incident took place while an elderly couple was clearing trees and bushes on their farmland. According to locals, a tree limb being cut came into contact with overhead electric lines. The weight caused the wires to snap and fall.

Rajamma, an elderly woman farmer, was removing the same fallen branch when she received a fatal electric shock. She died on the spot.

At the same time, four cattle grazing nearby came into contact with the live wires and were also electrocuted.

The sudden death of Rajamma cast a pall over the family. Relatives and villagers gathered at the site and mourned the incident.
