Hyderabad: A woman bus conductor in Andhra Pradesh allegedly slapped and manhandled an elderly passenger following an argument over ticket change.
The incident occurred when the senior passenger offered a ₹200 note for the fare and could not provide smaller change, leading to a heated exchange with the conductor.
Witnesses said the conductor, angered by the dispute, forced the elderly man off the bus and grabbed him by the neck before assaulting him.
Passengers at the scene strongly protested her behaviour, claiming she had previously mistreated travellers in a similar way.
Officials at the Aviyur depot said a full inquiry would be conducted, and necessary action would follow based on findings.
