HYDERABAD: A 26-year-old woman constable from Neelibanda Tanda in Kodakandla mandal of Jangaon district died by suicide after reportedly facing emotional distress due to her marriage not being settled.
The deceased, Gaguloth Neela, was appointed as an AR constable in 2020. According to preliminary reports, she had been upset over difficulties in finding a suitable marriage alliance.
Unable to cope with the emotional strain, Neela hanged herself, leading to her tragic death.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The sudden demise of a young officer has cast a shadow of grief over her family and local community.
