Rajanna Sircilla: A woman was brutally murdered in full public view in Rajanna Sircilla district, sending shockwaves through Chandurthi mandal.
The victim, who was walking home after a day’s work in the fields, was accosted and hacked to death with a sickle by an unidentified assailant. The attack took place on a village road and left bystanders horrified by its savagery.
In a dramatic turn of events, the alleged killer walked straight into the local police station and confessed to the crime, reportedly declaring, “I killed her.” Police have taken him into custody and launched an investigation into the motive.
Sources say the accused is no stranger to violence. He had previously been booked for murder after fatally attacking a man during Vinayaka Chavithi festivities.
