HYDERABAD: A morning walk turned tragic for two women in Narsingayapalli village when a high-speed bike rammed into them near the local government degree college, leaving one woman dead and the other critically injured.
According to residents, Sugunamma and Anasuya, both from Narsingayapalli, had stepped out for a morning walk on Monday. As they were walking along the roadside, a speeding motorcycle coming from Gopalpet struck them. The impact threw them off balance, and before they could recover, another bike ran over Sugunamma, killing her on the spot.
Anasuya sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sugunamma’s death has shocked the local community. She was a resident of Narsingayapalli and the wife of Pattabhi Reddy, locals confirmed.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Eyewitnesses allege that rash driving led to the accident, prompting calls for stricter speed regulation and improved pedestrian safety measures in the area.
