Woman’s purse stolen at Jubilee Hills temple; ₹40,000 withdrawn using ATM card

Hyderabad: A woman visiting Padmma Temple on Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills had her purse stolen, with thieves using her ATM card to withdraw ₹40,000 from her bank account.

The victim, a resident of Dundigal, had come for darshan at the temple. She later boarded a bus to return home, only to discover upon arrival that her handbag was missing.

Soon after, she received a message on her mobile phone notifying her that ₹40,000 had been withdrawn from her bank account.

The woman filed a complaint at Jubilee Hills Police Station. Police have begun examining nearby CCTV footage to identify the suspects and trace the theft.
