Hyderabad: A cooking gas leak caused a fire in Edakulapally village of Jharasangam mandal, Sangareddy district, on Wednesday morning, injuring a woman and her two sons.
The fire broke out at the residence of Gorrekanti Shankaramma while she was cooking. Villagers said Flames erupted suddenly, severely burning Shankaramma. Her sons, Prabhu and Vittal, who rushed to help, sustained burns on their hands in the process.
Locals immediately alerted emergency services. A 108 ambulance arrived at the scene, and medical staff provided first aid before shifting all three victims to the Zaheerabad Area Government Hospital.
Gas leak suspected in Edakulapally kitchen fire
Officials have not confirmed the precise cause of the leak. The condition of the injured remains under observation. The incident drew attention from local residents, but no further details were available at the time of reporting.
