Women safety awareness held at Veritas Sainik School

Hyderabad: The Women Safety Wing conducted a women safety awareness programme at Veritas Sainik School, where officers sensitised 450 students on personal safety, cyber safety, and the responsibility of youth in preventing harassment. They urged students to stay alert, report unsafe behaviour, and support peers facing risk.

Students briefed during women safety awareness programme

Officials explained how online interactions expose young users to impersonation, blackmail, and privacy violations. Moreover, they stressed that early reporting helps police act quickly. The session also highlighted safe digital habits, including careful sharing, strong passwords, and verified communication channels.

SHE Teams continued to maintain proactive patrols across Telangana. They monitor public spaces, respond to alerts, and take swift action against offenders. Additionally, officers reiterated that the unit’s mandate remains centred on preventing harassment and improving safety for women and girls in all districts.

Youth urged to support women safety awareness efforts

The team encouraged students to recognise early signs of harassment and intervene safely when possible. They advised them to support classmates who feel threatened and to alert authorities without delay. In addition, officials said young people play a crucial role in shaping safer social environments.

The Wing reaffirmed that Telangana Police would keep expanding outreach programmes in schools and colleges. These sessions, they said, help students understand their rights and engage with law enforcement without hesitation. Officers concluded the event by stating that public cooperation strengthens every safety initiative.
