Hyderabad: Construction of new Osmania Hospital buildings began at Goshamahal Stadium on Vijayadashami with foundation rituals and prayers. MEIL Director K. Govardhan Reddy launched the works and promised to complete the project within the deadline.
He said the new hospital will match private facilities in quality, with modern infrastructure and advanced medical equipment.
Osmania Hospital project to add 2,000 beds and advanced facilities
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the project on January 31. The hospital complex will spread over 26 acres with two 12-storey towers housing 2,000 beds. Two basement floors will provide parking facilities.
The project aims to finish within two years. Plans include 29 major and 12 minor operation theatres, a helipad, robotic surgery units, transplant theatres, sewage treatment, and biomedical waste management plants.
Authorities will also establish dedicated colleges for nursing, dental, and physiotherapy studies within the campus.
