Hyderabad: The Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple will remain closed for 15 hours on Sunday due to the total lunar eclipse, temple authorities announced.
Officials said the temple will be shut from 12 noon on September 7 and will reopen at 3.30 a.m. on September 9 with a samprokshana ceremony before resuming regular rituals and allowing devotees for darshan.
Temple to suspend rituals during eclipse
The total lunar eclipse is scheduled to begin at 9.56 p.m. on Sunday and conclude at 1.26 a.m. on Monday. In view of this, the temple will suspend all darshans, daily services, Satyanarayana Swamy vrathams, and vehicle pujas from noon on Sunday.
Authorities confirmed that all regular pujas and temple activities will resume after reopening in the early hours of Monday.
