HYDERABAD: A tragic road accident occurred near Akupamula in Munagala mandal of Suryapet district, leading to the death of a young woman on the spot.
The incident took place early on Saturday morning when a brother and sister were travelling together on a motorcycle. Near Akupamula, their bike lost control after a herd of buffaloes suddenly crossed their path. Both siblings fell off the bike as a result.
At that very moment, a lorry approaching the scene ran over the young woman, causing her to die instantly. The young man sustained serious injuries. Locals who noticed the accident rushed him to the government hospital in Kodad for treatment.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
