Hyderabad: A 25-year-old sofa maker was bludgeoned to death with a stone in Kishan Nagar under Asifnagar police station limits late Sunday night. The victim, identified as Mohammad Khabula alias Addoo Khan, was a resident of Syed Ali Guda and son of Mohammad Miskin.
According to local accounts, Khabula was drinking with a friend in a lane near Rahuth Hotel when a group of unidentified men attacked him with a boulder, striking his head fatally. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack.
On receiving information, Asifnagar police reached the spot and shifted the body to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem. A murder case has been registered.
Asifnagar SHO and ACP inspected the crime scene along with the clues team. Police said they are investigating the motive and identifying the accused.
