Medical negligence in Jagtial

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old boy died while undergoing treatment after a road accident in Jagtial district, sparking allegations of medical negligence and an attack on the hospital by his relatives.

According to police, the victim, identified as Turpati Shashi, and his friend Charan were travelling from Medipalli to Jagtial on Wednesday. Their two-wheeler reportedly hit another bike near Tatipalli-Chaligal, throwing both off the vehicle and into roadside bushes.

Locals rushed the injured to a government hospital. Shashi, 17, succumbed while receiving treatment. His relatives alleged that negligence by doctors led to his death and vandalised parts of the hospital.

Police reached the scene and began collecting details about the incident. Meanwhile, Charan’s condition worsened, and he was shifted to a private hospital in Jagtial for better treatment.
