Hyderabad: A man died of electrocution during an alleged theft attempt at Islampura area of Mancherial town in Komaram Bheem district late Sunday night, police said.
The deceased was identified as M. Ramesh, a native of Gandhari mandal in Kamareddy district.
According to police, he had entered a house intending to steal but, fearing detection, hid on the terrace of a building. There, his neck got entangled in an electric wire, resulting in instant death.
Local residents alerted police, who shifted the body to a government hospital for postmortem.
A case has been registered, and investigation is underway.
