Do not speak of religion or caste in Pahalgam attack, says Eknath Shinde

HYDERABAD: Shiv Sena party president and BJP ally Eknath Shinde stated that religion and caste should not be brought into discussions regarding the Pahalgam terror attack.

Shinde announced that the Shiv Sena would provide financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to the family of Syed Hussain Shah, who died in the attack, and also promised to construct a house for them.

He asserted that Syed Hussain Shah, who died while attempting to protect tourists, should also be recognised as a martyr. Shah lost his life while trying to seize a gun from the terrorists to save the lives of the tourists.

Eknath Shinde, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, expressed his grief after visiting Shah’s family. He said it was heartbreaking to see their poor living conditions and their pain over the loss of their only earning son.
