Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday led a public rally in Hyderabad in a strong show of solidarity with the Indian Army’s ongoing Operation Sindoor, marking a united political and civic stand against cross-border terrorism.
The evening march began at 6:30 PM from the state Secretariat and wound its way to Necklace Road. It drew participation from senior police officers, defence personnel, cabinet ministers, and administrative heads. Large groups of students and young professionals also joined, many waving flags or carrying placards backing the armed forces.
Addressing the gathering, Reddy said the rally was meant as a collective message of support to Indian soldiers stationed across the country. “We want our forces to know—they are not alone. Telangana stands with every jawan defending this nation,” he told the crowd.
In his speech, the chief minister issued a direct warning to those supporting terrorism or challenging India’s sovereignty. “If you try to hurt the integrity of this country, you will be crushed. That is our message,” he said, calling for national unity beyond political lines in times of security threats.
Reddy accused Pakistan of continuing to shelter and sponsor terror outfits, and said the military’s current campaign was a legitimate and necessary response. “India is a peace-loving country. But if our commitment to peace is misread as weakness, and if you threaten our daughters’ sindoor—our dignity—we will strike back without hesitation,” he declared, referencing the symbolic name of the Army’s operation.

The chief minister invoked India’s freedom struggle under Mahatma Gandhi, reminding the audience that both India and Pakistan were born from the same non-violent movement. But, he said, the actions of terror groups and their backers betrayed those very principles. “You’re mistaken if you think we are soft. If our forces decide, Pakistan won’t even exist by sunrise,” he warned.
He also said every government department in Telangana must work in coordination to ensure public safety. Instructions have been issued to maintain uninterrupted emergency services and heightened alert around all defence facilities in Hyderabad. He said intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been direct to stay on standby.
Later in his address, Revanth Reddy pointed to support for the military campaign by all political parties. He said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi had personally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pledge unconditional support for the armed forces. “140 crore Indians are one voice in this war against Pakistan-backed terror,” he said.
