CM Revanth Reddy development vision outlines Telangana growth goals

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy development vision advanced on Tuesday as he said Telangana would align its long-term economic roadmap with the Centre’s mission to strengthen India’s global economic position.

He addressed the Urban Development Ministers Regional Meeting in Hyderabad, which drew Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar, AP minister P. Narayana and senior officials from several states. The chief minister said Telangana had already submitted its planning proposals to the Centre and urged ministries to clear approvals quickly so that major projects can move faster.

Reddy argued that national progress gains speed when the Centre supports state-level efforts. He also noted that Hyderabad’s growth contributes directly to India’s economic strength. In that context, he sought cooperation on metro rail expansion, the Musi River project, the Regional Ring Road, radial roads and enhanced water supply from the Krishna and Godavari rivers.

Reddy said the state intends to contribute 10 percent to India’s expected $30-trillion economy by that year.

Reddy said Telangana would develop Bharat Future City across 30,000 acres. The project aims to match major global cities such as New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Dubai. He also outlined plans for a dry port to strengthen logistics and improve regional connectivity.

The chief minister said Telangana’s competition lies with global innovation hubs rather than neighbouring states. At the same time, he described nearby states as friendly partners and said Telangana seeks to progress alongside them.
