Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police announced traffic diversions for today as former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was scheduled to appear before the ACB Court at the Nampally Criminal Court Complex. He was expected to arrive at 10:30 a.m., and the police anticipated heavy crowds near the premises. Moreover, officials urged commuters to expect delays and prepare alternate travel plans.
The department said the temporary restrictions would support regulated movement around the court zone. They deployed staff at key intersections to manage congestion and guide vehicles through alternative corridors. Since the court complex falls in a high-density transit area, officers implemented multiple diversions to reduce bottlenecks.
Nampally traffic diversions are arranged along major routes
The Nampally traffic diversions covered several approach roads linked to the court. Traffic from Masab Tank and Al-Saba Café toward the Nampally Criminal Court would divert at Mayrose Café toward Dargah-Ek Minar and Taj Islands. Additionally, vehicles from Taj Islands and Dargah to the court zone would reroute from Mayrose Café toward Bazarghat and Gokulnagar.
Traffic from Lakdikapool, Rayalaseema Ruchulu Lane and the FTCCI building would divert at FTCCI Marg toward New Himalaya Café and Bazarghat. Furthermore, vehicles travelling from the MJ Market toward the Taj Islands, intending to reach Ek Minar, Dargah or the court would move toward Nampally Metro Station, Chapel Road and Assembly Metro Station when required.
Traffic from Masab Tank, Al-Saba Café and Bazarghat would redirect at Bazarghat Chowrasta toward Niloufer Café Lane, Ayodhya Junction and the PTI Building. Officials said these redirections aimed to prevent gridlocks during the high-security movement around the court.
Nampally traffic diversions supported with public advisories
The Traffic Police asked commuters to track updates on official social media platforms. They encouraged motorists to shift to alternate routes to avoid delays. Moreover, they offered support through the traffic helpline at 9010203626 for those needing urgent assistance or route guidance.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis appealed for public cooperation. He stated that the diversions were necessary to maintain smooth movement in the sensitive zone and would remain in force only until court-related activity concluded. He added that public adherence would reduce inconvenience for all road users throughout the morning.
